Google releases first update in two years for MyMaps

Google has released an update to its maps app MyMaps, not to be confused with the related but separate Maps. It is the first time since 2014 that Google’s app gives an update.

The update draws the app design in line with other recent Google apps. But that’s not all: Google claims the app from the ground up to have built up again.
